    Frequently asked questions

    What is a Discord embed?

    A formatted block in a message with a coloured bar, title, description, fields, images and a footer. Webhooks and bots can send embeds.

    What are the embed limits?

    Title 256 characters, description 4,096, up to 25 fields (name 256, value 1,024), author 256, footer 2,048. All text in all embeds of one message: 6,000 characters together. Up to 10 embeds per message (Discord developer docs, checked 17.10.2026). The generator counts as you type.

    How do I send the embed with a webhook?

    In Discord open the channel settings › Integrations › Webhooks, create a webhook and copy its URL. Paste it under 'Send to webhook'. Your browser sends the message directly to Discord. Discord's privacy policy applies to processing by Discord.

    Can I use the JSON in my own bot?

    Yes. The export is a webhook message body with content and embeds. In discord.js you pass the embeds array to channel.send(). Our guide 'Build a Discord bot with discord.js v14' shows the setup.

    Is the generator free? Do I need an account?

    It is free and needs no account or email address.

    Does Botnexio see my input or my webhook URL?

    The generator runs entirely in your browser. Your input is not sent to us. It is only stored if you click 'Save draft in this browser', and then only in your browser. Analytics captures no content and sets no cookies; it only counts page views and successful actions (e.g. "JSON copied") as daily totals. With Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, we count nothing. Details are in the privacy policy. The webhook URL is not part of the share link.
