Botnexio MCP Server Starter Kit (TypeScript)

TypeScript template for your own MCP server. Built for Claude & Cursor; ChatGPT web depends on plan, Pro read-only, no Plus.

Current status: the automated tests in the code run against a simulated identity provider. A run against a real identity provider, building the Docker image and use with Claude Desktop/claude.ai, Cursor and ChatGPT are still pending.

Vibe-coding templatesBy BotnexioMCPTypeScriptOAuth 2.1

Included:

  • TypeScript template for your own MCP server built on @modelcontextprotocol/sdk
  • Two transports, one codebase: Streamable HTTP (POST /mcp, stateless) and stdio (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Claude Code)
  • Example tools with zod input and output schemas and annotations: list_notes, get_note (read-only), create_note, delete_note (destructive)
  • Three auth modes: none, apikey (server-side key from env), oauth (OAuth 2.1 resource server for your existing identity provider)
  • Security defaults switched on: Origin check, rate limiting per caller, tool timeouts, body limit, input validation, READ_ONLY mode
  • SDK 1.32.1; includes automated tests in the code
  • Dockerfile included; plus deploy notes, client guides, a tutorial for adding your own tool, troubleshooting (README, INSTALL and the tutorial also in German)

Requirements: Node.js 22.12 or newer, npm. For OAuth you need an existing identity provider.

Not included: no custom development, hosting or operations, no support for third-party identity providers or APIs beyond the docs, no app-directory submission, no legal advice.

Delivery: ZIP download after payment.

OpenAPI to MCP Server: Rebuild Your GPT Action as MCP Tools

Turn your GPT Action's OpenAPI spec into MCP tools: map operations to tools, set annotations, choose a converter or hand-written server, then plan auth.

Folder tree of the kit: src with HTTP and stdio entry points, tools, auth and security, plus tests, scripts, docs, client guides and Dockerfile
Excerpt from src/tools/notes.ts: registering the list_notes tool with zod input and output schemas and annotations
Installation in four steps: unzip and npm ci, test and build, run locally over HTTP, choose an auth mode and connect a client

Each works on its own – none requires the other.
